The Public Enterprises Holding and Administration signed a memorandum of understanding with the African Leadership Excellence Academy on July 13, 2024 at the administration’s meeting hall.
The memorandum of understanding was signed between the Director General of Public Enterprises Holding and Administration ,Ato Habtamu Hailemichael and the President of Africa Leadership Excellence Acadamy , Ato Zadig Abrha.
The Director General of the Public Enterprises Holding and Administration, Ato Habtamu Hailemichael, said that as the administration is working to make public enterprises effective and globally competent, activities that can make them competent are needed. He further added that the enterprises are expected to understand the current circumstances of the changing world and adapt themselves to this change. According to the Director General, the MOU is focused on Leadership development activities, which consider recognizing best performer enterprises, research and development and motivation systems. The Director General added that the administration and public enterprises will benefit from the activities of the African Leadership Excellence Academy.
Ato Zadig Abraha, President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy, on his part, reminded that loss-making organizations have become profitable through the efforts of the Public Enterprises Holding and Administration. The president pointed out that the academy is working with various international, continental and national organizations and said that there is a big change in public enterprises and this change should be supported by leadership development so that it is possible to handover effective enterprises to the next generation.
The memorandum of understanding allows both institutions to work together in research, leadership development programs, consulting and other services in a way that will benefit them.
