The Public Enterprises Holding and Administration evaluated the performance of the trainings that have been given since February 26, 2024 on eight selected training topics that enable the Administration to improve the quality and efficiency of its work on May 29, 2024.
His Excellency Mr. Habtamu Hailemichael, the Director General of Public Enterprises Holding and Administration, opened the evaluation forum with a speech. He stated that the training that was being conducted in the 2024 fiscal year was aimed at stimulating employees and enabling them to be more effective, as well as identifying existing gaps and raising awareness, and he stated that these objectives were achieved. The Director-General pointed out that there are specific tasks identified in the training process and concerned departments based on plan will carry out these tasks.
In the review, the Management Chief Executive Officer Mr. Asfaw Mekonen presented a document regarding the entire training process. In the document that Mr. Assfaw presented, specific issues related to the activities that need to be implemented and the work units that are expected to perform the activities are included.
After the document was submitted, group discussions were held regarding the strength and weakness of training process, the gaps that need to be fixed, the training issues that should be given next and about overall training process, and about identified concerns.
At the conclusion of the review, His Excellency Mr. Habtamu Hailemikael said that all employees have received training based on identified training issues and internal capacity. He further said that attention should be paid to technology and besides this, a summary document will be prepared to give feedback on training performance and further work will be done on specific issues.
The administration has been giving trainings to regional public enterprises, city administrations, endowment leaders and experts, and has been able to share the experience of managing SOEs to countries like Zimbabwe.
